Breaking News: WorldMark Board Votes on Proxy Allocation

In the Sept. 16th Board Meeting, the WorldMark Board of Directors accepted and approved a motion on the allocation of proxies in the upcoming WorldMark Board of Directors election. In this meeting the Board voted to allocate all assigned proxies in equal proportion toward each of the three incumbent WorldMark Directors (Fry, Morrison, and Henley). Effectively this provides the incumbent Directors with a significant “head-start” in the vote totals going into the Annual Meeting. In the 2008 election, the Board cast over 65,000 votes received from owner proxies. No information was provided on the number of proxies received in this year’s election cycle.

If you have not received your official WorldMark voting materials at this time, you should contact Owner Services. The 2009 WorldMark Annual Owners Meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2009, at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Washington. Vote!

Marking the third candidate to respond to the Additional Candidate Questions, Candidate Rick Lawler’s responses are available on his candidate page. I personally want to thank Rick and all the candidates for supporting this effort with their participation. This is a grass-roots effort to provide more candidate information and help owners make informed decisions about their Board Candidates. I appreciate all the support that the candidates have shown so far, and remain hopeful that additional candidates will respond in the days to come.

Help us make this site better! When you visit feel free to stop by and visit the Suggestions page. Any suggestions on how to improve this site are greatly appreciated as we naturally have the “chicken and egg” conundrum. Candidates need to see that their appearance here will provide them with better exposure to the owners and result in more votes. Owners need to see the presence/contributions of the candidates in order to want to make this a place to learn more about the candidates.
